Short Description: Teams will complete lab activities and answer a series of questions related to the materials science of nanomaterials with an emphasis on chemical, physical, optical, and mechanical properties of nanomaterials.

Materials: Cheat sheet, calculator, chemistry lab equipment items, safety equipment

General Overview:

• Part 1: Lab Activity- There’s a long list of activities you may have to do

• Part 2: Written Test- With a focus on chemical structure, crystalline structure, and other properties related to nanomaterials (chemistry of surfaces, optical, thermal, & magnetic properties, etc.)
