Helicopter

Event Type: Build Event, 2 Team Members

Short Description: Prior to the tournament, teams will construct, collect data on test flights, analyze and optimize free flight rubber-powered helicopters to achieve maximum time aloft.

Materials: Up to 2 Helicopters built ahead of time, Measurement Box, Flight Log, Tools

General Overview:

• Build a rubber band powered Helicopter and have it fly for the longest duration of time and be as light as possible (minimum weight is 4.0g)

• There are restrictions on the design and materials that can be used for this event, refer to the rules PDF

• This is a heavily kit-based event. We use a kit, but optimize it in order to get better results
